Meet the team
Garrett Jenema
My passion for cycling started with solo adventure rides on the local mountain bike trails when I was sixteen. Riding soon turned into training as I started racing, yet the sense of adventure is a key part to my devotion for the sport. Racing has given me the opportunity to challenge myself and set goals that I continue to work towards both on and off the bike. During the 2021 and 2022 season I have had success in gravel racing and mountain bike racing.
Kyan Olshove
I was raised in Northern Michigan so naturally, I grew up playing many outdoor sports, including mountain biking with my Dad on local trails. The outdoors has always been a big part of my life. I truly gained a passion for cycling competitively in 2012. Once I had my first taste of the podium I knew I could never go back.
I raced for the Bear National A-Team this year with a packed schedule of UCI racing in multiple countries, a World Cup, and other major events. I train very hard on and off the bike with the help of my coaches, Justin Morris and Benjamin Dilley. I love the speed and organization of road riding but also enjoy spending hours shredding my favorite enduro/downhill trails. XC is my favorite discipline because it requires the ultimate mix of strength and skill.
Emma Schwab
Ever since a young age I’ve always competed in many sports. Starting with Nordic ski racing when I was just a toddler to falling in love with biking when I was a teenager. Over the past few years I’ve competed in multiple Mountain Bike National Championships and had the opportunity to race at the collegiate level. My love for cycling has only grown over this time as I’ve learned what it takes to compete at a high level in this sport. I hope that over the next few years I’ll be able to race at an elite level with the best in the world. Including US UCI XCO races and UCI World Cups.
Drew Cummins
I started riding bikes with Norte Youth Cycling in 2013 to get to elementary school; my cycling fervor blossomed from that, turning a tool for commuting into a love for all things bikes. Starting in 2020, I kicked my training into the next gear by working with Mind Matters Athlete Coaching. Training with a purpose allowed me to achieve goals I never thought possible—both on and off the bike. Next year, I will be racing collegiate road for the University of Michigan, and I hope to refine my technical skills to succeed in XC with GLORI. I’m ecstatic to be a part of GLORI, as while just racing itself is fun, racing with friends is even better.
